Second Birthday

Today you are TWO, and that's is absolutely crazy. Two years of loving you from Earth to Heaven. Two years of carrying you in our hearts. Two years since Jesus took you home. Two years since I gave birth to a silent delivery room. Two years since I left without my baby girl.

How drastically different this birthday is. It is a little more joyful, also so hard, and so heavy.

You Heaven sent your brother for us so we can celebrate you today with him.

This year of your life has held a whole new meaning of how joy, grief, and gratitude can all simultaneously exist. That all the while I so desperately wish you could be here, I am grateful that we have your life to always celebrate, and joyful that you are healed.

I hold your brother with so much gratitude, but always wishing you could be here with us toddling around with us. I know that you sent him for a purpose, and for that I am grateful for. I know that you know him from Heaven to earth too. I know you have abundant love for him too. A love only siblings share.

Every milestone he makes I wish so much I got to experience that with you.

I wish I got to hear you cry, change your diaper, take you to wellness visits.(everything I wish she got to stay). All the things parents do that seem so minuscule. When in reality they are huge, especially when you never got to experience that the first time.

I know Heaven is singing you the most joyous Happy Birthday. I hope that you can feel our love from here all the way up to the Heavens as I weep so much for you, but also that I celebrate you EXTRA today. I hope that you can always feel our abundant love for you. We are forever grateful for your life, and the meaning it holds in our life.

Happy 2nd Birthday sweet, sweet girl. You are abundantly loved, and so missed everyday.
